The School House Tutors Approach

Every child is at a different stage of learning, has a different style of learning and has different needs. This is why our approach is never exactly the same. We want to help every child who comes to learn with us achieve their potential, and this cannot be done with a cookie cutter learning technique.

By personalising the tutoring experience for each student, we can increase their confidence and ability in the classroom and exams. We work with students to set their own achievable goals, encouraging them to identify their own weaknesses and helping them to move past them.

We endeavour to involve every member of the family, not just the child who’s being tutored. Communicating progress and achievements to parents, as well as potential issues, occurs throughout the tutoring schedule. We also have set meetings similar to Parents’ Evenings, where we run through how everything is going.

Our Reporting Systems

Our tutors are highly adaptable too. As they get to know their students and learn more about their learning styles and requirements, changes can be made to how the curriculum is delivered, allowing for an even better experience for the students.

Weekly feedback is essential in you knowing exactly what progress your child is making and highlighting any gaps in knowledge.

With study sessions, specialised lessons, daily practice and regular feedback and diagnosis, your child will gain confidence and see a marked improvement in their ability and understanding.

We ensure this through embedding the School House Tutors’ six fundamental elements which make for effective learning.
